Beyond Access is an opportunity for students to work smarter, not harder in a competitive academic environment while preparing for life beyond college. Our programs are designed to help students understand, achieve, and develop an individual pathway to success.
CSDTech
Students can meet with the CSDTech Team to explore a variety of programs, apps, and other resources to help build academic and life skills. CSDTech will support you in finding the right learning tools to meet your individual needs and learning styles.
Delta Alpha Pi (DAP)
The Delta Alpha Pi (DAP) International Honor society recognizes academic excellence among students with disabilities on college campuses across the nation.
Personal Assistants
A Personal Assistant (PA) provides the necessary support to live independently for a student with a disability. While the CSD can assist in identifying potential PAs, students with disabilities must interview, hirs, train, and pay their own PAs.
REACHing Peers
REACHing (Resources in Education and Advocacy for Current Huskies) Peers is a peer mentoring program.
UCIS
University of Connecticut Communication Access and Interpreting Services (UCIS) cultivates universal inclusion and meaningful access by ensuring a comprehensively accessible educational environment for d/Deaf and hard of hearing students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
UConn GPS
UConn GPS provides you, as a first year or transfer student, an opportunity to learn what it takes to be a successful student at UConn. Move onto campus early and join us for three days of workshops and activities that provide holistic preparation with focus on academic success, knowledge of campus resources, health and wellness, and social involvement and skills.
