    Evernote is an application that allows you to sync notes from all of the computers and devices that you use. It allows you to take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, and record voice reminders, all of which are completely searchable.

    Blio is a free eReader app that was developed by KNFB, the same people who make the Kurzweil assistive software. Blio allows you to read downloaded books in numerous formats while also providing text-to-speech functionality for books. Words are highlighted as they are read and you can look up the definitions of words as you read.

    Google Drive is a free multi-purpose storage and document creation app. You can create new documents, spreadsheets, or drawings or upload your own documents to Google Drive. Everything that you upload to Google Drive can be accessed from any computer or device with access to the Internet. You can share and collaborate live with other people, which is great for group projects.

    Chrome Speak is a free browser app that reads text on the internet out loud to you. This means that you can read along and listen to retain the information in long articles better or you can just listen to it and focus on taking notes if it’s difficult for you to multitask. You simply highlight what you want Chrome Speak to read and right click to read it. You can adjust the speed to fit your pace and adjust the volume and pitch to a level that is most comfortable for you.
